2025 Machine Embroidery Retreat - Registration Deposit ONLY

What:  3rd Annual Machine Embroidery Retreat
When:  1:00 pm, Thursday, Nov 13th through 11:30 am, Sunday, Nov 16th, 2025

Why:  To learn more about machine embroidery while having fun

Each day there is a daily project, and I provide the necessary design, stabilizer, embellishments, etc - you only provide the thread.  *The exception to this is Project #1, Embroidery Retreat Sweatshirt - you provide the shirt. Recommended threads will be included in the packing list.

Project 1 - Thurs - Embroidery Retreat Sweatshirt - We'll practice reverse applique using a traditional applique design from OESD.  Bring your favorite hoodie, sweatshirt, jacket, etc and get ready to stitch.

Project 2 - Fri - Daisy Wrap Around Towel Topper from Designs by Juju - You're going to love this happy, bright, in the hoop project. We will practice using two different types of washaway stabilizers.

Project 3 - Sat - Monogrammed/personalized vinyl tote - We will experiment with the lettering on your machine or use Bernina Embroidery Software to create the perfect monogram or lettering for your tote.  Once you're finished stitching your personalized design, we will use the Back to Basics pattern from Sallie Tomato to finish this minimalist tote.

Project 4 - Sun - Cork Scissors Covers and Luggage Tags - On our final day of retreat, we'll have fun with these quick and useful in the hoop projects from Sookie Sews and Kimberbell.  You'll use cork and vinyl to create several items while we learn how to add and move multiple designs in the same hoop.

Lodging - only double rooms are available

NEW for 2025 - in keeping with the Muumuus and Mimosas theme, we will have a fashion show after dinner on Saturday, Nov 15th.  Feel free to buy or make your very own muumuu.  Prizes will be awarded for the most unique, best catwalk, most colorful, and more!
